Maddie Burks: Pan American Silver Medalist

On Wednesday, August 20, 2025, Maddie Burks fenced in the Youth Women’s Épée event at the Pan American Youth & Veteran Championships in Lima, Peru — and came home with a silver medal.

Maddie fought her way through a strong international field, advancing to the final where she faced a Brazilian fencer. In a tense and hard-fought bout, she finished second with a score of 10–7.

This result is a milestone for Maddie and a proud moment for NCF Boulder. Her composure under pressure, her willingness to take on challenges, and her ability to represent her club and country on the international stage speak volumes about her growth as both a fencer and a teammate.
