Looking for a different kind of birthday party or group event? A fencing party offers a safe, structured, and fun experience that works for kids, teens, and adults alike. From birthdays to team-building and even social gatherings our space adapts to what you need.

What’s Included

  • 2 hours of fencing games, activities, group instruction and bouting

  • All fencing gear and use of electric scoring machines

  • Exclusive use of the facility

  • Instruction from a coach, with support from junior club members

  • A 30-minute introductory lesson for the guest of honor (scheduled the week before the party)

  • Clean-up and rubbish disposal.

Party & Event Details

  • Duration: 2 hours of activities. We also allow 30 minutes before and after for setup and cleanup.

  • Group Size: 4–14 participants

  • Cost: $25 per participant

  • Fencing Only Option: For groups who want the fencing experience without a party theme or decorations, the cost is $20 per participant. This includes full use of equipment and expert instruction.

  • Extra Time: Additional private facility use is available at $100 per hour, billed in half-hour increments

Food and Drinks

  • You are welcome to bring your own food, drinks, and cake

  • Freezer space is available for ice cream cakes

  • We can accommodate crockpots, chafing dishes, and similar items

  • Tea and coffee can be provided with prior arrangement

Facility & Amenities

  • Seating for up to 20 guests (chairs only, not dining tables)

  • Tables: one standard 6ft, one narrow 6ft, and one 4ft

  • Sound system with headset and cordless microphone

  • 46” TV and projector available for use

Decorations & Keepsakes

  • Balloon arch and two balloon columns

  • Themed table covers and decorations

  • Interior and exterior signage and banner

  • 5x7 framed photo of the birthday child

  • Group photo in fencing uniforms (taken during the pre-birthday lesson) for each participant

  • Inflatable swords and lightsabers available for $2 each

Availability

Parties and events can be scheduled on weekends (Saturdays after 12:00 PM), weekdays before 3 PM, and on no-school days.

Coming to a Birthday Party at NCF Boulder?

Fencing parties are a little different from the usual birthday. Children get the chance to put on real fencing gear, learn the basics, and try the sport in a safe, fun environment.

What to Wear: Athletic shoes and comfortable clothes for movement. No sandals, boots, or dress shoes. All fencing gear is provided, and we keep a small supply of fencing shoes available to borrow if needed.

Safety: Fencing is a contact sport, but it is designed to be safe for beginners. Every child is fully outfitted in protective equipment including jacket, mask and glove. All activities are led by experienced coaches. If a child isn’t comfortable fencing, they can still join in through games, refereeing, or other activities.

Activities: Kids will suit up, learn some fundamentals, and fence under supervision, with plenty of games and group activities included. No prior experience is needed.

Parents: You are welcome to stay and watch from the sidelines.

Water Bring a water bottle if you prefer. Water and cups are provided.

Bring a fresh shirt to change into to go home refreshed.

Chilled towels are available to freshen up after the party.

We provide the equipment, coaching, and supervision so children can participate at a level that feels right for them.
