Birthday Parties and More

Birthday Parties & Group Events at NCF Boulder

Fencing taps into something a lot of kids (and kids at heart) already love.

It combines movement, focus, and athletic skill in a way that is both engaging and accessible. A fencing event at NCF Boulder gives participants the chance to suit up, learn the basics, and fence in a safe, structured environment under the guidance of experienced coaches.

Our events work well for birthdays, family gatherings, team-building activities, school groups, and other special occasions. Everything is fully supervised and thoughtfully organized, so participants of different ages and experience levels can jump in confidently and enjoy the experience. No prior fencing experience is required. What’s Included

Coming to a Birthday Party at NCF Boulder?

Fencing parties are different from most birthday activities in one important way: for many kids, this is their first real exposure to the sport. While children often have some familiarity with activities like skating, bowling, or climbing, fencing is something they have rarely seen up close, let alone tried themselves.

That sense of novelty, combined with real instruction and close supervision, makes the experience both memorable and genuinely engaging.

What to Wear
Athletic shoes and comfortable clothing for movement.
No sandals, boots, or dress shoes.
All fencing equipment is provided. A small supply of fencing shoes is available to borrow if needed.

Safety

Fencing is a contact sport, but it is designed to be safe for beginners. Every participant wears full protective equipment, including jacket, mask, and glove. All activities are led by experienced coaches.
If a child isn’t comfortable fencing, they can still participate through games, refereeing, or other activities.

Activities
Participants suit up, learn the basics, and fence under supervision, with plenty of games and group activities included. No prior experience is required.

Parents
Parents are welcome to stay and watch from the sidelines.

Water & Comfort
Water and cups are provided; feel free to bring a water bottle if preferred.
Bringing a fresh shirt to change into afterward is recommended.
Chilled towels are available to help participants cool down before heading home.
