Great Results at the LAIFC RJCC

Last weekend some of our fencers competed at the LAIFC RJCC – in Los Angeles, California – while others competed locally at a Mixed Div 3 and Veterans event at Denver Fencing Center. In all, NCF fencers won 6 medals and earned one new rating!
In Los Angeles, our best results were:

Cadet Women’s Epee

1st – Sara
3rd – Rachel
5th – ‘Bella
Junior Women’s Epee
2nd – ‘Bella (congratulations on earning your B18 rating!)

In Denver:
Veteran Epee
3rd – Ann
Veteran Foil
3rd – Ann
As always it is great to see your efforts rewarded with great results!

Great Results at RYC of the Rockies

Some of our newest fencers produced some great results this past weekend at the RYC of the Rockies, with several finalists and two silver medals! Our best results were:
In Y12 Men’s Epee, Timothy took 5th place, and Luke came in 7th.
Breck won a silver medal with her second place finish in Y14 Women’s Epee.
And later in the day In Y14 Mens’ Epee, Ty also won silver in 2nd place!
Congratulations fencers! We always enjoy seeing your hard work and determination rewarded!

Bill Goering Memorial Competition Results

Here are our best results from the Bill Goering Memorial competition, held this past weekend at the Denver Fencing Center:

In all, NCF had 14​ fencers compete this weekend, including some of our newest fencers – Sabina, Jiasheng, Ty, and Kai — great to see them getting out and getting experience! Thank you to DFC for hosting this event!

Strong Club Results at the Colorado Cup

Several NCF fencers worked their way onto the finalists’ podium in local competition at the Colorado Cup this weekend! Among the best results were:

Senior Women’s Epee
1st – Sara
2nd – Ann
3rd – Tean
5th – Rachel
7th – Bella

Senior Mixed Epee
1st – Sam
3rd – Brendon
8th – Jay

Sam earned his A17 rating and Jay renewed his C17!

Additionally we saw great effort and good fencing from some of our newest fencers – Ty, Sabina and Breck!

Veterans Medal at December NAC

NCF veteran fencers​ earned great results ​a​t the December North American Cup in Portland Oregon …

Mark Kruger finished 8th in Division 2 Men’s Epee and updated his rating to C17!

Ann Totemeier finished 3rd in Vet 40 Women’s Foil, 1st in Vet 40 Women’s Epee, and 3rd in Veteran Combined Women’s Epee!

NCF Summer Camps Are Here!

Fencing summer camps at NCF will introduce your child to the core skills, strategies and rules of the modern sport of fencing.  Camps are safe and fun, and participants learn the basics of using a fencing weapon for offense and defense, the rules of the sport, how to conduct bouts and tournament play, and how to be gracious in victory and how to profit from defeat.  Along the way, we’ll have fun games, challenging exercises and bouts with partners, and informative discussions about the sport and each fencer’s role in it.
