Kinderfechten (Ages 7-10)

 

• Meets Tuesday and Wednesday (if enough interest)
• 4:00pm to 5:30pm
• Offers an introduction to fencing and on-going skills development until participant is ready for next level
• Equipment supplied
• Epee and Foil weapons focus
• Group lesson format

Kinderfechten is an ongoing program for our youngest fencers. Kinderfechten offers a "mini" class for those that want more after school, recreational type instruction. Basic rules, footwork, and blade skills are addressed in these classes.

Participants in the program need to wear white soled tennis type shoes and sweat pants. Black soled running type shoes, normal shoes, and the variety of winter wear shoes and boots are inappropriate for fencing. The club has changing rooms, and shoes and sweats may be stored there in a duffel bag.
