NCF Summer Camp 2009

Northern Colorado Fencers has been offering Summer Fencing Day Camps to boys and girls from 8 to 14 for over 15 years. No previous fencing experience is necessary to participate in the beginning camps. Each session has a maximum of 20 children.

This year's summer camps will be offered as follows:

June
Weeks of 6/1 & 6/15 Morning Camp 9am-Noon
Afternoon Camp 2-5pm
Weeks of 6/8 & 6/22 Morning Camp 9am-Noon
July
Weeks of 7/13 & 7/27 Morning Camp 9am-Noon
Week of 7/20 Morning Camp 9am-Noon
Afternoon Camp 2-5pm
August
Weeks of 8/3 & 8/10 Morning Camp 9am-Noon

The NCF Summer Camps are designed for students who have never fenced before, as well as students who have attended the beginning camp or attended classes at NCF. Emphasis is on teaching a good understanding of the basics of fencing: footwork positions, attacking and defensive actions, and learning about the use of the equipment.

For students with some experience there is an emphasis on more complex technique and tactics so the fencer will increase their skill level and be able to bout at a higher level.

NCF will provide all the instruction and fencing equipment each child will need to make this camp safe and exciting. Snacks and drinks will be provided during training sessions.

The NCF Summer Camps are a great way to get involved with one of the top Junior fencing clubs in the US.

Age is restricted to those 8-14 years old.  Cost is $170 per camper, with a 10% discount for multiple sessions, and siblings, so bring the whole family!
